Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern all sales made by Lunar Fine Art Studio (“we”, “us”, “our”) to any purchaser (“you”, “your”) through our online store. By placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
This document does not limit your statutory rights under EU consumer law.

Orders and Shipping
- Order acceptance: Your order is accepted once we send a confirmation email.
- Dispatch time: We generally ship within 2 weeks of order placement. If we are unable to ship within 30 days, you may cancel for a full refund.
- Risk and title: Title passes upon full payment. Risk of loss remains with us until delivery.
- Shipping method: We ship exclusively via private couriers (express service).
Right to Cancel – EU/EEA Customers
If you are based in the EU/EEA, you have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 days from the day you receive the item, without giving any reason.
How to Cancel:
- Notify Us
- Notify us at orders@proofofpaint.art with your order number and the items you wish to return.
- Ship the Items Back
- You will receive instructions on how to ship the items back. This return shipping cost is not covered by us.
- Please wait for instructions on how to pack the item, failure to do so might damage the print.
- Assessment of Condition
- Once we receive the item, and we verify that it’s undamaged and in mint condition, we will issue a refund.
- Note: damage to the print from mishandling may be deducted from refund amount.
Effects of cancellation:
- We refund the item price and the cost of outbound delivery.
Return of goods:
- Send back the goods within 14 days of notifying us of your cancellation.
- You bear the direct cost of returning the goods.
Please return the print using the original packaging (tube or rigid mailer with edge protection) or equivalent-quality packaging to prevent damage.
Condition of returns:
You may handle the product only as necessary to determine its nature and characteristics, as you would in a gallery or shop.
Because fine art prints are delicate, even minor creases, dents, or fingerprints can reduce value. Any diminished value caused by handling beyond what is necessary for inspection will be deducted from your refund.
Refund timing:
We issue refunds within 14 days after receiving the returned goods. Refunds may be withheld until the item is received and inspected.
Order Cancellation – Non-EU Customers
If you are based outside the EU and cancel before your order ships, you will receive a full refund.
If the order has already been shipped, courier costs will be deducted from your refund, and you will need to return the print to us.

Handling Guidance for Fine Art Prints
Fine art prints are collectible items. Under EU law, you are liable for any loss in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the product’s nature and characteristics.
Handling guidelines:
- Use clean gloves and a clean, flat surface.
- Avoid touching the printed area.
- Do not roll the print tighter than it arrived.
- Do not apply tape, clips, or adhesives directly to the paper.
- Do not force the paper to unroll, let it unroll gently / naturally.
Packaging for returns:
- Always use the original packaging (tube/rigid mailer, sleeves, corner protectors) or equivalent protection.
- Insure the shipment for its full value. You are responsible for the goods until we receive them.
Examples of excessive handling:
Creases, kinks, bent corners, scuffs, fingerprints, moisture exposure, or marks on the print may result in a reduction or full loss of refund value.
Deduction assessment:
If the print cannot be resold (even as a discounted “seconds” item), the deduction may equal the full item price.
Upon request, we will provide a short assessment report.
Items Arriving Damaged or Defective – EU and Non-EU
In the case of damage occurred during transit, or lost items by the courier, we will refund your order, including shipping costs, or provide a replacement.
If your order arrives damaged or not as described, contact us as soon as possible at orders@proofofpaint.art
Follow the steps below:
- Notification of Damage
- Notify us of any shipping damage as soon as possible. Please mention your order number.
- If the external packaging is damaged upon delivery, please take photographs of the package immediately, ideally before opening it.
- Please send any photos and evidence of the damage at orders@proofofpaint.art
- Report any shipping damage within 14 days of receiving the package. We suggest to not wait.
- If you incurred any customs or duties charges, please keep a copy of the receipts.
- Please keep the original packaging, where possible.
- Ship the Damaged Items Back
- You will receive instructions on how to ship the damaged item back. This return shipping cost is covered by us.
- Assessment of Damage
- Once we receive the item back, we will assess the reported damage.
After investigating the damage, will we issue the replacement or the refund for shipping costs and item value.

Inspection:
To verify and remedy any claim, we require the item to be returned before issuing a replacement or refund. We will provide a prepaid return label or reimburse reasonable return costs.
Remedy:
Once damage or defect is confirmed, you may choose a replacement (subject to availability) or a full refund, including all shipping costs.
Lost or Undelivered Items
If your order does not arrive within the estimated delivery window (or within 30 days if no estimate was given), contact us at orders@proofofpaint.art.
After verification with the carrier, you may choose a replacement, subject to availability, or a full refund.
Payments and Refund Method
Card payments: Refunds are made to the original payment method.
Bitcoin payments:
- Refunds are based on the original euro (EUR) order price.
- At refund time, we convert that EUR value into bitcoin (BTC) at the current market rate.
- The BTC amount refunded may differ from the BTC originally paid due to price fluctuations.
- Standard on-chain network fees are deducted from the refund.
- Refunds are sent to the original wallet address unless you provide another and we confirm it in writing.
- If network congestion causes unusually high fees, we may delay processing or deduct the reasonable cost from the refund.
Payment Mistakes
You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of any wallet address you provide.
We are not responsible for any payments sent to an incorrect address during the checkout process.
Please always ensure that the bitcoin address you are paying to is accurate before completing your payment.

Customs, Duties, and Import Fees
Unless otherwise stated at checkout, shipments are Delivered at Place (DAP / Delivered Duty Unpaid).
You are the importer of record and responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or fees charged by your jurisdiction.
If you refuse delivery or fail to clear customs:
- The item may be returned or destroyed by customs.
- Refunds will only be issued once the item is safely returned to us.
- All outbound, return, and customs-related costs will be deducted from the refund.
Product Use and Intellectual Property
Your purchase grants ownership of the physical item only.
No copyright, reproduction, or other intellectual property rights are transferred.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any artwork without the artist’s permission.
Warranties and Conformity
We warrant that our products conform to their description and are free from defects at the time of delivery.
Except as required by law, products are provided “as is.”
Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to your purchase is limited to the amount you paid for the product(s) in question.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.
This clause does not limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other non-excludable circumstances under law.
Force Majeure
We are not responsible for delays or failures due to events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, labor disputes, shortages, war, terrorism, epidemics, or courier failures.
Performance will resume as soon as reasonably practicable.
Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malta.
Disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Malta, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections allowing you to bring claims in your country of residence within the EU/EEA.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
The version in force at the time of your order applies to that order.
Material updates will be announced on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
